The Image

The University of Manchester, was created in 2004 by the amalgamation of the Victoria University of Manchester and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. The universities had worked closely together for 100 years.

The weather forecast was for a thunder storm, so my thoughts were to get a picture of the library with lightening above it. I set my gear up taking advantage of the shelter the building opposite the library offers. With my camera on a small tripod I waited and waited but all I got was rain. As the light started to fade I noticed the lights from passing trams became more prominent, an ideal photo opportunity had presented itself. I am very pleased with the results
